The FINA-RET project objective is to identify, develop and package financing products (i.e. loans, funding and awarding programmes) addressed mainly to individuals and SMEs that wish to invest on RE and EE technologies in order to meet their energy needs and increase their energy performance. More specifically, FINA-RET project aims at:

-
formulating and packaging of sustainable, flexible and easy to access financing products addressing investments on small-scale RE & EE technologies applications,
-
grouping RE & EE technologies based on their investment requirements' characteristics,
-
identify critical success and failure factors for an effective promotion strategy, of the developed financing products and therefore of RE and EE technologies market penetration,
-
providing insight to policy makers on non-technological problems and barriers related to small-scale RE & EE technologies applications and
-
disseminating the project results at the maximum extent both within the Member States and world wide.

To achieve the above a systematic approach of designing the financing product under consideration has been identified. This approach emphasize on the elicitation of the user requirements and characteristics of the financing products, while takes under consideration the characteristics of the environment within which the financing products will be developed in order to secure the efficiency and effectiveness of these financing products for all parties involved in their development, supply, distribution and consumption.
